Wellington Football Club is seeking a highly self-motivated individual who understands Wellington Club Rugby. This person will be willing to go the extra mile for the club, is able to work with a variety of stakeholders and can develop the role as they see the need.
The person will be responsible for:
- The successful delivery of the WRFU community plan
 - The recruitment, development and retention of both players and coaches across the junior and senior club
 - The professional review of Coaches and Managers for their development
 - The physical and social welfare of club players
 - Epitomising the values of ‘The Axemen’
 - The achievement of general club duties
 - The development of mutually valuable relationships with specific internal and external parties to achieve the goals of the Club and the position
 
Measures of success:
- WRFU Community Plan score
 - Team and Player numbers, new and returning
 - Teams Performance and Positions in their respective competitions
 - Efficient utilisation of budgets
 - Feedback from all Club Coaches and Managers
 
Essential:
- Excellent people skills including written and oral communication
 - An intrinsic understanding of the game of rugby
 - A clear position on club rugby and its importance to the game
 - If not already in place, the development of a network of well positioned contacts who can assist the achievement of the roles success
 
Desired:
- World Rugby Level Two Coaching Certificate or higher
 - World Rugby Educator
 - Coach the Coaches qualifications
