Governance
Wellington Rugby is governed by a Board of Directors, chaired by Phil Holden, which provides strategic leadership for the Union. The Board delegates authority to a Stakeholders Council, made up of club‑appointed delegates, to oversee and support the amateur game. The Stakeholders Council is led by Florence Masoe.
Supporting both governance groups is the Union’s executive team, led by CEO Tony Giles, who is responsible for administering rugby across the Wellington region at both the community level and the professional level through the Wellington Lions.
The Presidential Suite, led by Rebecca Liua’ana, serves as the Union’s senior ceremonial representatives and official ambassadors. The Suite represents Wellington Rugby at local events and supports community engagement across the region.
