PCL and Lions Unite to Honour Norm Hewitt

The Wellington Rugby Football Union is pleased to announce PCL as a supporter of the Wellington Lions and a welcome addition to our rugby whānau for 2025.

The Wellington based contracting company will partner with the number 2 jersey in memory of Norm Hewitt. The former All Black and his whānau hold a special place at PCL, with Norm working alongside their tāngata for over 10 years mentoring, supporting, holding people accountable, and simply being present in the moment.

Established in 2006, PCL is a proudly family-owned business built on strong relationships and a people-first approach. This philosophy has earned them long-term clients and loyal staff. With over 90 employees, PCL specialises in all aspects of civil contracting, including infrastructure, excavation, 3-Waters drainage, and surfacing. Their leadership has grown through a thoughtful succession plan, ensuring continued growth and innovation. Known for their work on roading, streetscapes, and environmentally sensitive projects, PCL remains a trusted partner to both public and private sector clients.
