Wellington Rugby is proud to celebrate a special moment in the career of Du’Plessis Kirifi, who has today been named in the All Blacks squad for the upcoming Series against France.

The dynamic loose forward, known for his relentless work rate and leadership as captain of the Wellington Lions, receives a call-up, a reflection of years of consistent high performance in both the Bunnings NPC and Super Rugby Pacific.

“This is a huge day for Du’Plessis, his whānau, and our wider rugby community,” said Wellington Rugby CEO, Tony Giles. “He’s been the heart and soul of our Lions team for several seasons now, and we’re thrilled to see him recognised at the highest level. No one works harder or leads with more passion.”

Kirifi’s selection headlines a strong Wellington presence in the national squad, with Ardie Savea, Billy Proctor, and Ruben Love also earning selection for the July internationals.

The All Blacks face France in Dunedin on July 5 and in Wellington on July 12.
