Tony Giles Steps Down as Wellington Rugby CEO
Wellington Rugby CEO Tony Giles has announced his resignation after three years at the helm of the union.
Giles said he was proud to have led the union but felt it was the right time to explore new challenges in his career.
“It’s been an honour to lead one of New Zealand’s proudest Provincial Unions through the past three years, but with a new strategy and direction being launched, I have decided it’s time to move on to new challenges. I’d like to acknowledge our stakeholders including sponsors, clubs, supporters, volunteers and our players and coaches for their efforts and support through the past three seasons.”
Wellington Rugby Chair, Phil Holden, said “Tony has made a major contribution to Wellington Rugby over the last three years, and we thank him for his efforts and wish him the very best for his next challenge and opportunity”
