WRFU have this week taken the extraordinary step in appealing a decision issued by an independent Judicial Committee in relation to a Stokes Valley player accused of kicking an opposition player in a Premier 2 match against Johnsonville RFC
The appeal was heard by Committee on the evening of Thursday 13 May 2021 at the WRFU offices.
WRFU now confirms the five week suspension handed down to a Stokes Valley player for kicking in the Premier 2 match against Johnsonville RFC at Helston Park last Saturday has been vacated. Instead a new sanction has been confirmed precluding the player from participating until the end of the WRFU Premier 2 grade this year (a minimum stand down of 12 weeks).
WRFU thanks everyone for their patience while the judicial process continued, the Committee for their careful deliberation of the matter, and both Clubs involved for their complete co-operation throughout
