It is an exciting time for Silverstream Rugby, with success across all of our major teams in 2021. To strengthen our position as one of the country’s premier rugby colleges, we are looking for a versatile, forward-thinking Director of Rugby who will lead the charge as we seek to write the next successful chapter in the College’s history.
St Patrick's College, Silverstream has a sports programme that places the student at the centre of everything we do, and some of the most expansive, well-maintained playing fields and facilities in Wellington. Our rugby programme takes pride in developing talented players, with a steady stream of talent coming through all grades. We’re looking for a Director of Rugby who has experience in delivering a player-centred approach to coaching; who is also committed to developing great young men.
It is important to us that candidates are aligned to the vision, purpose and values of St Patrick’s College, Silverstream. You must have an ability to work within a group and to continually grow and develop your own capabilities as well ensuring a positive, fun team environment where good, young men can grow in accordance with our special character.
The Director of Rugby will work alongside College management and the Director of Sports to revise and redevelop the strategic direction of the College’s rugby programme: so an ability to think outside the square, and identify and capitalise on opportunities is a must for this role.
The successful candidate must be available on site during the week and on the weekend, to assist with the development of other coaches, and coordinating the organisation of all rugby teams throughout the season.
