The Wellington Rugby Tui Awards will be held at the Embassy Theatre on Wednesday 10 November following the end of the ITM Cup season.
Categories for 2010 are as follows:
Junior Merit Award Trophy
Awarded to the club with the highest average aggregate points per game awarded by referees in club matches.
A J Griffiths Memorial Trophy
Awarded to the team with the highest average aggregate points per game awarded by referees in club matches.
Sir William Perry Memorial Trophy
Awarded to the club with the highest average of championship points per team.
Dewar Shield
Awarded to the club scoring the highest aggregate of championship points in all grades.
Wellington Rugby Supporters Club Player of the Year
Awarded to the most valuable Vodafone Wellington Lions team player of the year, selected by the Wellington Rugby Supporters Club.
Billy Wallace Memorial Trophy in association with The Dominion Post
Awarded to the best and fairest Wellington club rugby player.
Club Coach of the Year
Awarded to recognise outstanding coaching achievement during the 2010 club rugby season.
Club Team of the Year
Awarded to recognise outstanding achievement by a team during the 2010 club rugby season.
Al Keown Memorial Cup
Awarded to the best performed rugby player in the 2010 Wellington Rugby Academy.
The Ken Comber Memorial Cup
Awarded to the 2010 Wellington Rugby Academy member who best embraces the Academy philosophy.
Women's Player of the Year
Awarded to the most outstanding player in Wellington women's rugby during 2010.
Most Promising Player of the Year
This award recognises the player in a Wellington club and/or representative rugby team showing the most promise/potential during the 2010 season.
The Dominion Post WRFU Volunteer of the Year
This award recognises an outstanding contribution by a Wellington rugby volunteer.
Referee of the Year
Awarded to the best performing Wellington referee officiating at club level and who may also be officiating at either Heartland Championship or ITM Cup level.
Representative Coach of the Year
Awarded to recognise outstanding coaching achievement during the 2010 representative rugby season
Representative Team of the Year
Awarded to recognise outstanding achievement by a team during the 2010 representative rugby season.
Tui Player of the Year
Awarded to the most outstanding Vodafone Wellington Lions player who has best embraced all aspects of the team ethos, both on and off the field during 2010.
The nominees will be named on this website by 18 October. Winners will be uploaded on 10 November after the event.
