What's on in Junior Rugby?

Junior rugby starts it preparations for 2013 with the junior rugby awareness week kicking off on Sunday 3rd March.

The Oriental Rongotai & Petone junior clubs will hold open days this Sunday to promote young players to have a go at playing rugby, both clubs will have bouncy castles, fun games and of course the register to play rugby for 2013 Details - Sunday 3rd March Open day at Oriental Rongotai rugby club, Polo grounds, Miramar 11.30am to 1.30pm Open day at Petone rugby club, North park, Petone 12pm to 3pm

Tawa RFC are holding their Junior Skills Day this Sunday 3 March, 10.00am - 1.00pm at Lyndhurst Park. Rugby Skills/Drills and Ball Games fun event, hosted by the Tawa Rugby Clubs CCO, Dion Waller, the Tawa Junior Rugby Committee and several Tawa Premier Players.  Sausage sizzle provided.  Boys and Girls between up to Under 13 years of age can register for the 2013 Rugby Season.

On Tuesday 5th March Wellington Rugby will host 50 teams from 32 primary schools that will attend the year 3&4 rippa tournament to be held at the Petone Rec in Petone.

Games will kick off at 10am and the presentations will be at 1.15pm

Later that night the Hurricanes players will head to the junior rugby clubs at 5.30 to support the registration of junior players wanting to play rugby.

And of course the Hurricanes take on the Crusaders at Westpac Stadium on the Friday night so get amongst it and head to the game
