With the club rugby season drawing to a close, WRFU is pleased to announce the schedule for the Post Season 7s Tournaments.
This tournament is the start of the sevens schedule.
There will be an Entry Fee of $100.00+GST per team entered to cover costs of tournament with prize money up for grabs (dependant on number of entries).
Venue: Porirua Park 2-4
This tournament provides an opportunity for clubs to put a strong team together for what promises to be a strong competition.
Entry will need to be accompanied with an entry fee of $100 per team and prize money will be up for grabs (dependent on number of entries).
Venue TBC.
Wellington Rugby's Premier 7s Club tournament. This tournament is always popular with the traditional sevens clubs.
This will also be a chance for representative players to press their chance for selection towards the Wellington Rep Training Squads.
There will be an Entry Fee of $100.00+GST per team entered to cover costs of tournament and prize money will be on offer (dependant on number of entries).
Venue TBC.
Whilst venues are still to be confirmed, the announcement of these dates will allow clubs planning and preparation to be put in place for each of these tournaments.
In each of the Men's 7s tournaments there will once again be a U20 Grade to replace the U21 Tournament that has been held in the past.
All players will need to be registered with a WRFU Club or Secondary School and must have competed in WRFU Club/Secondary School rugby competitions in 2009. Rugby League players/teams will not be permitted to take part in these tournaments.

Adam Campbell, WRFU Representative Men's Sevens Coach, will be present at these tournaments to view players in line for representative selection.
